The Best Skin Care for Winter Weather
As the seasons shift to colder, brisk temperatures, taking care of your skin and switching up your routine is essential. Dry skin and chapped lips is a key indicator that it’s time for a change although you should definitely begin your new routine well before then. Below are some tried and true products to help your skin survive the havoc the cold weather will wreak on your skin!
Fresh Sugar Wonder Drops Lip Primer – This is in my favorites for a reason! If you put this underneath a balm, it’ll stay on longer leaving your lips even more moisturized. Think of it as a primer for lip treatments. I wrote a short review about it here.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – One of the best overnight lip treatments that delivers intense moisture and antioxidants. It’s infused with Moisture Wrap Technology which locks in long lasting hydration and Berry Mix Complex which is rich in vitamin C.
Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm – This is my go to everyday lip balm and I love it because it allows for layering and it’s also long lasting. In warmer weather, a light coat is enough but when the temperature goes down, you can layer it as much as you want. Since you get 4 in one pack, you’ll never have to go without. You can put one in your car, in your purse, in your nightstand, etc. Love!
Epanouie Hyaluronic Acid Serum – Hyaluronic Acid is essential because it draws over 1,000 times its weight in water in your skin cells. It’ll keep your skin moisturized and plump as long as you reapply at least every few days. Add this to your routine before putting on an actual moisturizer and your skin will thank you!
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration – A super rich moisturizer that provides long term hydration for dry and distressed skin. Perfect for those colder days.
Chemistry Brand Hyaluronic Concentrate – This works the same as a facial hyaluronic acid serum. Apply within 1 minute of getting out of the shower and layer a lotion or body butter on top.
Gold Bond Radiance Renewal Lotion – Literally the most amazing lotion ever! It’s more of a thick cream oil but your skin wont feel any softer with a regular lotion compared to this. It exfoliates by removing dry, dead skin cells, hydrates immediately and locks in moisture for 24 hours.
Epanouie Body Butter – Whipped with plant butters and aloe vera, this body butter gives at least 12 hours of hydration. It doesn’t feel sticky and absorbs pretty quickly. My favorite scent is Berries & Whipped Cream but you can’t go wrong with any that you choose.
Feet & Hands
The Chemistry Brand Hand Chemistry – I love this hand cream because not only does it provide hydration but it also works on the texture of your skin along with the elasticity, firmness, density, evenness, smoothness and brightness. It’s great for if your profession requires you to wash your hands more than normal or if you just like clean hands.
O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet – One of the best creams you can put on your feet for all texture and hydration issues. I love that you can pick it up at Target and it’s not expensive!
