Give Yourself an Energy Boost With A Smoothie
Put the mid-day coffee down and opt in for an afternoon smoothie instead. Not only are the health benefits endless, but they can also give you a much needed boost of energy. Below are three of our favorite smoothies that will pick you right up while tasting absolutely amazing.
Code Green Smoothie
2 Tablespoons of vanilla almond butter
1 handful of spinach leaves
2 tablespoons of honey
1 cup of milk (I use vanilla cashew milk)
A few benefits: Elevates your mood, gives instant energy, slows signs of aging physically and mentally, keeps you full for longer, gives a boost of healthy fats, high in fiber.
1 cup of mango chunks
1/2 cup of pineapple
3/4 cup of orange juice
1/4 cup of carrot juice
6oz of pineapple or mango yogurt (a personal size yogurt)
A few benefits: A supreme glow when it comes to the skin, even complexion, lots of antioxidant effects on the skin and body, provides a mentally refreshed feeling, relieves stress.
The Green Date Smoothie
1/2 cup diced Avocados From México, fully ripe
1/2 cup mango chunks
1 1/2 cup almond milk
1 or 2 dates (thinly sliced)
1 cup spinach, kale or your fav leafy greens
A few benefits: High in beneficial fats, high in fiber, improves elasticity of skin, works to get rid of toxins, reduces absorption of sugar in the body, fights fatigue.
