Milk Infused Skin Care Line?

During this time of quarantining, wearing masks, and social distancing, my skin has been super dry. It’s probably because I’m over doing it with my skin care routine and not applying enough hydrating products. All of the products I use are good for keeping the skin fresh, keeping your complexion radiant, and getting rid of dead skin, dark spots, and wrinkles, but they do nothing for hydration. I recently got Pixi’s Milky Collection and all of the products are formulated to do exactly that. I don’t believe the products are infused with actual milk, but they have similar benefits in what it provides your skin—hydration, nourishment, and nutrients.

I haven’t used all of the products just yet, but so far my two faves are the milky serum and the milky toner. I stopped using my glycolic acid toner and I probably won’t use it again until I get my skin hydrated enough. Then, I’ll alternate between the two. I use the milky serum after using the toner to add an extra punch of moisture right before I use my night cream. I want to see the effect of adding those two products to my regime before using the rest of the collection because let’s be real, I don’t think anyone buys FULL 6 or 7 piece skin care collections. Usually people only grab 2 or 3 products, myself included. I’ll give you guys a bit of info on the ones I haven’t used yet if you’re interested but I’ll also be doing a full review of my two faves! Before I begin, I just want to say Pixi is a great brand if you’re looking for something that actually works and isn’t super expensive. The ingredients they use are natural which makes the quality of their products even more amazing.

PRODUCT DEETS:

+ Name: Pixi Milky Tonic  |  Pixi Milky Serum
+ Price: $15  |  $24
+ Description: The toner was specifically made to add a bit of moisture into your skin while soothing any irritation at the same time. The serum gives an intense boost of nutrients to restore dehydrated skin without weighing it down.
+ Where It’s Available: At Target and Pixi’s website

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT IT: When I applied the tonic with a cotton pad after I washed my face, I could feel that my skin wasn’t being dried out. I didn’t look at the ingredients until a few days after applying and I saw that it’s infused with oat extract to bring balance to irritated skin and gives extra hydration with the Jojoba Seed Oil, Green Tea, Rose Flower Extract, Flower Water, Lavender Extract, and other ingredients great for your complexion. So basically, if your skin is often red, irritated, feels itchy or dry, this toner might be your holy grail! As far as the serum, it’s formulated to improve elasticity, hydration, and suppleness. I could definitely feel those effects way after I applied it! The serum is infused with a lot of the same things as the toner as well as glycerin that traps moisture and all of the hydrating ingredients into the skin.

AND THE NOT SO GOOD:
So far so good. I wasn’t too sure what to expect because I’ve never used a hydrating toner or hydrating serum before but so far, I have nothing bad to say. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and my skin definitely has been feeling better.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW: This toner is alcohol free which is a huge plus. I also believe the bottle would last for a while because you don’t need to apply it super often if you don’t need to. You can use it once a day at night if you want or more if your skin is really going through it. Also, I’m not sure if I got a defective item but the serum bottle seemed like it was filled halfway. If that isn’t a defect, I can definitely see someone running through the bottle in less than a month.

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS: I’m a fan! I think the toner and serum are great additions to your skin care collection, especially for those colder months.

Overall, the entire line is all about adding moisture back into your face along with other ingredients to make your skin more glowy and healthy. They also have a hydrating makeup remover, a hydrating peel, a hydrating mist, a hydrating cleanser, and a hydrating lotion! I can definitely see myself trying the hydrating mist next because if it’s anything like their glow mist, I’ll get a super natural, slightly dewy finish which I’ve been growing to love 😍 You can check out the entire line here.
