Hi lovelies! Just dropping a quick review on the new Dior Forever Undercover Foundation. A friend of mine raved about it and how good it was mixed with the new NARS foundation so I had to try it out for myself. He is always up to date on the newest foundations and I knew if he was obsessed with it, I would be too because we both like the same type of finishes when it comes to skin! I’m gonna leave a photo below that showcases the shade range. When I went to Sephora, it was pretty easy to find my color (050), hopefully if you decide to try this, it will be a simple process for you as well.

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT IT: This foundation spreads the easiest out of all the foundations I’ve ever used. You can cover your face with very little product. The pigmentation is out of this world and is beyond full coverage. As soon as you put it on, your skin will appear airbrushed. It dries to a soft matte finish and I can honestly see this performing well even without a powder on top. Lastly, this foundation really does last a long time! I haven’t worn it for 24 hours because I haven’t had the chance to, but I can honestly see why Dior is making the claim. One day I am going to stick it out and stay up for 24 hours with this foundation on and I’ll post the results here.
AND THE NOT SO GOOD: Since it is water based, you cannot just use any ole primer underneath. You need to buy a water based primer or find something that works for you. Typically, using an oil based primer or silicone based primer with a water based foundation on top will just result in the foundation separating. Picture oil on your skin or on a lightly oiled pan, once you add a bit of water, the water will just sit on top in little bubbles. The same goes with makeup.
You also may notice a tiny bit of creasing if you have smile lines. There are ways to fix this but giving you guys just a heads up!
WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW: The amount in the tube is a bit more than other foundations. For comparison, Fenty’s Pro Filt’r contains 1.08 oz/ 32 mL in the bottle, Estee Lauder’s Double Wear contains 1.00 oz/ 30 mL in their bottle, and the same goes for Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation. I can see the Dior foundation lasting quite some time, especially since you don’t need much to completely cover your face.
BEAUTY TIP: Make sure your skin is properly moisturized before applying this foundation for a flawless finish! Also, typically when brands release a foundation, they either release a primer to go with it or they have some available that are compatible with it. So if you aren’t too sure which primer goes well with your new foundation, start your search for a primer with the same brand.
