3 Easy Ways to Get Makeup Stains Out of Your Clothes

If you wear makeup, at some point, you’re gonna end up with a stain. It’s inevitable. Below are tips on how you can save your favorite pieces from your favorite lipsticks.

Zote Pink Soap

This soap is complete lifesaver and works extremely fast. Zote Pink Soap is a solid laundry soap that is commonly used in the makeup community to flawlessly clean makeup brushes. It’s made in Mexico and features a super concentrated formula packed with fatty acids which also make it a great treatment for greasy and oily stains.

Simply moisten your clothing, rub the bar soap onto the stain and allow to sit for at least an hour before throwing it into your regular laundry cycle. Alternatively, you can rub the bar soap onto the stain, let it sit and hand wash the stain out of your clothing for much quicker results.

OxiClean Max Force Spray

Grab some OxiClean Max Force spray and direct it on the makeup stain. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes. If the item isn’t prone to color changing, you may leave it on the stain for up to 7 days. If the fabric is of a dyed nature that bleeds easily, do not let it stand for longer than 5 minutes.

After pre-treating the stain, throw the item in your regular laundry cycle. Depending on the severity of the stain you may have to repeat the process.

Rubbing Alcohol

If you don’t have any of the previously mentioned products on hand, good ole rubbing alcohol usually works. A cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol will lift stains right out of fabric.
