Why I’m Returning The HUDA Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette – Bronze Sands Edition

I was a little hesitant to purchase this palette because of past reservations about this brand. The owner seems to be nice, there has just been a lot of confusion regarding who her target audience is and who she supports. If you’d like to read more about why tons of people are iffy about Huda Beauty (including myself), take a look here: http://bit.ly/2CPKWfC I also talk about it a little in my video which can be found at the bottom of this post.

But nevertheless I ended up purchasing it to review and give my thoughts on it. I do live swatches in my video so make sure you watch and look out for that. The palette itself is very pretty…I love love love the packaging! Overall, it seems to be very high quality. For a more indepth review and to see how it looks on my face, take a look at the video!

PRODUCT DEETS:
+ Name: Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette
+ Color: Bronze Sands
+ Price: $45.00
+ Description: This is a highlighter palette that is very warm and appears to works best on medium and deeper skin tones.

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT IT: The fact that there’s a cream highlighter that can be used as a base for the other ones is something I’ve never seen before in one palette. I’ve heard of the technique but I haven’t seen any brand offer two different types of highlighters in one product. I like that the highlighters appear to work well with deeper complexions because to be honest, it’s very hard to find highlighters that don’t look ashy on the skin! I also love that there are instructions on the inner top part of the case. I think it will really help out those who aren’t too sure what to do or where to apply each highlighter. Although the highlighters themselves are very pigmented and buttery smooth, they are very buildable as well, which is a huge plus to me! Not everyone wants a super blinding highlight so the fact these apply well sheer is great.

AND THE NOT SO GOOD: The cream highlighter will melt/crease if you put too much on. That’s about it!

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW: Usually when beauty gurus want a beaming highlight, they spray their brush or their face before applying the product, with this palette you most definitely do not have to do this. If you continue to layer it, it will produce that effect on its own.

BEAUTY TIP: Try patting the cream highlighter on with a damp beauty blender or your fingers, it wont apply as smoothly with a brush.
