Another way to get use out of your healing crystals (or if you just feel like trying something new) is to infuse a mist/spray with them. You can infuse water with the crystals to make a body mist, a room spray, or a facial spray and it will have the same intended effects you bought them for. For example if you bought rose quartz for self love, you can make a body or facial spray and it will have the same effects as if you were to wear a rose quartz bracelet.
Most types of crystals can become toxic once soaked in water for extended lengths of time, so I’d really only recommend the basic ones like Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Onyx, Citrine, and Black Obsidian. Click here for a full list of the crystals that can become toxic.
Rose Quartz Spray Rose quartz is known to be the stone of love. It promotes positivity, compassion, self love, and love for others.
What You’ll Need:
Glass Misting Bottles Rose Quartz Pebbles – Restores emotional balance, master healer for the heart and emotions, removes negative energy, stone of unconditional love Pink Yarrow – A flower essence known to enhance mental stability, instill positivity, and improve overall well being Wild Rose – A flower essence that enhances love for life and increases enthusiasm Rose Oil – Promotes emotional balance Distilled Water (Replace with Rose Water if you want to make a facial spray)
Directions: Fill 1/4th of the bottle with the rose quartz pebbles, and fill the bottle with water. Add 2-4 drops of the pink yarrow essence, 2-4 drops of the wild rose essence, and 2-4 drops of the rose oil.
Shake the bottle up whenever you need a boost of positivity or self love and spritz your face, your body, or your surroundings!
Sage Black Obsidian Spray Shamans have always used sage smudging as a way to diminish negative energy. When sage is burned, it releases negative ions into the air, which has been linked to changing people’s mood for the better. Some people don’t like the smell, so using a sage infused spray gives all the benefits without the smoky effects. Black obsidian is basically the crystal version of sage. It absorbs negative energy from the environment and also draws out mental stress and tension.
Directions: Fill 1/4th of the bottle with the black obsidian pebbles, and fill the bottle with water. Add 2-3 drops of the sage oil and 4-10 drops of the grapefruit seed extract.
Shake the bottle and spritz the room whenever you’re feeling negative energy from yourself, your environment, or other people. I’d only recommend this mixture for a room spray.
Lavender Amethyst Spray The amethyst stone has strong healing and cleansing effects and is known to calm the mind. Lavender has similar benefits as it is typically used for it’s calming and relaxing effects.
Directions: Fill 1/4th of the bottle with the amethyst pebbles, and fill the bottle with water. Add 3-5 drops of the lavender oil. Shake up the bottle and spritz your surroundings when you need to relax, sleep, or meditate.
