This year I caught wind of a debate on whether or not priming your face is actually necessary for a makeup application. But first, lets get into what primer actually does and what it’s used for.
A face primer is used to create a pre-base layer to help your foundation or any product you put on top. It essentially creates a barrier between your skin and the makeup. A face primer smoothes your skin texture, helps your makeup last longer, minimizes the appearance of pores, and much more.
So is primer a no or a go? Find out by opening this post ♥
Since I get a lot of questions on what certain makeup products are and their purpose, I just wanted to create a makeup and beauty glossary so you guys can really get an idea of what’s what. I will be going more in-depth with future posts to give you guys the tea on each type of product, my favorite recommendations and more.
The second post of this mini series will be cover products used on the eyes! The images are clickable and will take you right over to each makeup category on Sephora’s site if you’re interested in taking a look at what’s out there ♥
Fall is nearing and what better way to bring it in than with some new lipsticks If you haven’t tried any of these shades out, now is the time! I’ve noticed that a lot of people have a one size fits all mentality when it comes to lip colors but trust me, there is a shade out there for everyone.
I took the time to create a chart with different skin tones to give you guys specific recommendations for each lipstick shade, because I know when the color “peach” is thrown at you for example, you may think of just one color and completely write it off without realizing there are tons of peachy shades out there that would look amazing on you!
