Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet Eyeshadow Palette

Fun fact, my very first quality eyeshadow palette was the original Urban Decay Naked palette!  And today, 10 years later, they’re back with another installment in their Naked series! Urban Decay just released a palette called the Ultraviolet palette and it’s full of peachy neutrals, violets, lavenders, and purples.

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT IT: I love the fact that there are so many different textures in this palette. Usually brands stick to one or two, but this palette has glitters, shimmers, AND mattes! I also love the quality of the shadows…they’re very pigmented and easily blendable. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a complaint when it comes to Urban Decay shadows.

AND THE NOT SO GOOD: I was a bit nervous when I saw pictures online of this palette because it was giving me ashy vibes. I just knew half the palette would look like ash on my skin tone 😂 But the pictures don’t do it justice! I was pleasantly surprised once it actually came in the mail. If your skin tone is deeper than mine, you’ll definitely still be able to use these shadows but the Trippin’ and Optimized might be an issue unless it’s used as an inner corner shadow.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW: Included in the palette is a double sided eyeshadow brush, one side is a blending brush and the other is a lid brush. If you want to make the shimmery shades stand out even more, spray the lid brush with a setting spray before applying!

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS: For some reason, I wish a matte dark purple was included for a crease color. But overall, this palette is great. The quality is great. The colors are super pretty. Not much else I can say!
