NARS Soft Matte Concealer

PRODUCT DEETS:
+ Name: NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer
+ Color: They offer 30 shades
+ Price: $30 | They did provide me with a 20% off code to share since I made a large purchase with them
+ Description: A full coverage, oil free matte concealer that instantly blurs and smooths uneven texture while concealing dark spots, under eye circles, redness and breakouts.

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT IT: It looks amazing if you aren’t wearing a matte foundation or anything else besides a setting or finishing powder. Good for light face makeup days. Perfect for spot concealing. Very full coverage yet looks extremely natural. It does not crease and it really stays put.

AND THE NOT SO GOOD:  I tried it with the matching Soft Matte foundation and things did not go well. It is very hard to blend on top of a matte foundation in my experience and I’ve tried everything…different concealer brushes, a damp beauty blender, my fingers, etc. It gets patchy, the foundation starts to pick up onto whatever is being used, and it’s just very hard to blend. It could honestly be my technique but I’ll never know because I sent every single shade back (and I bought 16) and purchased their Radiant Creamy concealer. I will admit though, I have not tried it with a foundation that does not have some type of mattifying effect.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW:  Fingertips are the best tool to apply and blend as the product really needs to warm up a bit to spread across the skin.

BEAUTY TIP:  The formula is very thick which is great because it means you only have to use a tiny bit to get great results. When using your fingertips, you can just touch the concealer and immediately go into tapping onto any area you need coverage.

Side Note: NARS gave me a 20% off discount link to share with people who want to buy from their site. I’d honestly recommend going into Sephora to try shades out for yourself but if you don’t want to, click here for your 20% off.
